Welcome Back to Winter

Real-time Radar

Yesterday’s Weather

Boy, was yesterday unpleasant. Winter returned with a vengeance thanks to strong northwesterly winds that sent a chill down everyone’s spine. Bowling Green made it to around 40ºF yesterday for an afternoon high but it didn’t feel nearly that “warm”.

Yeah, I said snow. Before you clear out the bread aisle, give me a chance. I know winter has been mostly devoid of actual winter weather but trust me, a little bit is on the way. But first, a couple of boring days.

We finally had the cold front sweep by yesterday and drop our temperatures, now we’re left to deal with the cloudy aftermath. It’s going to be quite similar to yesterday, maybe a touch less breezy. A temperature of 40ºF doesn’t sound so bad but with a cold wind it can start to feel brutal.

Luckily, with the clouds clearing out a bit more for our day on Saturday will help those temperatures out a little bit, making it feel a bit more comfortable outside.

Ah, almost 45ºF. That’s about as warm as we’re going to get for the next few days. Yes, it’s still winter.

Now, on to that snow chance…

No, it’s not a big one for Sunday but the models are hinting that we have a shot at a little bit of rain/snow mix later in the day. This is not a big deal but this is the first time we’ve seen anything close to winter in awhile around here and I thought we could all use a heads up.

This is something that would only amount in some wet roadways but you should still exercise caution just to be on the safe side. On the other hand, it presents the first opportunity in awhile for you to motion towards the window and say “SNOOOOOWWWW!!!!”
