Bowling Green Weather Stays Cold, But Changes Are Ahead

Real-time Bowling Green Weather Radar

Yesterday’s Weather

Good morning Bowling Green! If you are out and about this morning, you probably want to arm yourself with some warm coffee and an ice scraper because it is getting cold. Yesterday was downright brutal, and was honestly one of the first days we’ve had like it this season. Temperature wise we were well below average with a high of only 37°F. Factor in those winds that were gusting 20-25mph and wind chills were in the upper teens and low twenties, no thank you!

Forecast Discussion

Today’s forecast is, unfortunately, much like yesterday’s. Very cold, below normal temperatures, and a little breezy just to make it worse. Winter blows.

As for tomorrow, we will warm up slightly to a high of 37°F. So if you’re headed out to WKU’s graduation, before sure to bundle up as you make your way out the door! Clouds will increase throughout the day as our next big weather maker begins to make its way into our area overnight tomorrow and into Sunday Morning.

Rain chances increase as we head into Sunday – Via Tropical Tidbits

Sunday’s rain chances (and maybe even a mix) will be thanks to a system of low pressure centered over the Great Lakes.  This system is a little frustrating because the timing of the event is not entirely clear. The models are continuing to slow the system down bringing rain chances later and later throughout Sunday. If the consistency remains, then our chances of through Sunday and overnight will be greater. Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 0.25-0.75 inches. It is definitely something we will continue to have our eye on as it nears.

Otherwise, Sunday’s temperatures are much more seasonal with highs in the mid to upper 40s!

Today’s Key Points

  • Today will be much like yesterday, cold and breezy
  • Tomorrow cloud clover builds ahead of our next pattern
  • Sunday’s low pressure could bring us our next bit of rain
