Forecast Discussion

An upper level ridge looks to remain in place across the region today. However, a trough will move into the region tomorrow, leading to a chance of isolated showers. Any rain is good rain in this time of moderate drought conditions.

An upper level ridge is currently parked across the region, meaning we’ll likely see temperatures well above normal once more. Highs this afternoon are expected to get into the low to mid 70s. This will put us around 10° above normal for this time of year.

A trough will begin to move into the region tomorrow. This should provide enough lift to lead to a few isolated showers throughout the day. Isolated showers may continue overnight. Due to cloudiness, highs may be restricted to the mid 60s and lows will drop into the mid 40s.

Showers should move out of the region on Wednesday morning. Cool conditions will be left in their wake despite thinning cloud cover. Highs will likely only make it to the upper 50s. Conditions really cool down overnight Wednesday as lows drop to around 40°!

Extended Outlook

High pressure will once again move into the region late week. This area of high pressure looks to remain locked in place for quite some time. Thus, fair conditions will likely remain in place also. Temperatures will continue to look more fallish during this period as well.

That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
