I am a huge fishing fan. I am an avid fly fisher, and try to fish two or three times a week during the summer. It is just a way to decompress and think. I know a ton of people who fish too, so I know having a forecast for the hotspots across the state will be key in knowing where to go or not go! If there are any other places we should add, just let us know and we will.
I’ll rank the weather for the weekend as a whole on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being “you’ve gotta go fishing”. Additionally, I’ll link the names to the latest fishing report that I can find. Well, here is your Friday Fishing Forecast for the weekend of July 23-24.

As an additional note for this weekend: ridge will be weakening across the eastern US as the main portion of the ridge reestablishes itself across the western US. Despite this, it will remain hot, with isolated storms both days this weekend. These are the reasons that I have none of the lakes rated above an 8. Please be cautious to take precaution out on the lake this weekend. Though fishing is relaxing, be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks occasionally from the heat.
