Discussion

It’s been super nice outside the past few days due to a lifting trough moving to the east. Well, that’s all about to change. Today, the ridge that was to our west will finally be situated over our region and will be the dominating force for the next few days. Southerly flow will return to the region, allowing temperatures to shoot up a little.

Highs will be in the low to mid 80’s under sunny skies. So, overall it’s going to be a nice day, but just a bit warmer. Friday, on the other hand, will be noticeably warmer as the ridging becomes more dominant. Expect highs for Friday to be in the low 90’s under sunny skies.

Extended Outlook

The extended outlook seems like it could potentially be more interesting as the weather models are hinting at some potential for thunderstorms. However, with every new model run it seems as though the potential for storms keeps going down. As we move closer to the weekend, we will know more about how this will play out, but for now I ‘m going to keep some slight rain/thunderstorm chances in the mix during the latter half of the weekend. Overall, though, it’s going to be a pretty boring next several days as we are under the main influence of a ridging pattern. Definitely keep that air conditioner on because it’s gonna be hot (or at least hot to me)!

As the ridging begins to break down during the middle part of next week, we could also see our rain chances increase. Until then, we will remain mainly dry across the state.

Well, that’s it for me! Y’all enjoy the rest of your week!
