Sunshine Dominating Bowling Green Weather

Today: Dense fog possible early, with partly cloudy skies afterwards. Highs around 76°F. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 54°F.

The NWS in Louisville has issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 8 am.

Be prepared to encounter areas of fog on your way to church or other activities as you start your Sunday off. Anyways, other than that, today is gonna pretty nice over the western half of the state, and I am excited.

Anyone else feel like it has just been cloudy for the past forever? I do too. Today, not as much, but our friends in eastern KY look to see some showers this evening as a mid level shortwave trough propagates to our east.

This will create partly to mostly cloudy skies across much of the state, and showers look like a good possibility in eastern KY this evening. Locally, look for highs to end up in the mid 70s across the region!

This will carry you into a decent Sunday evening, as rainfall shouldn’t be an issue for us here in BG. There is a slight chance, but I think we miss out on that today. Overnight, it will be mostly clear, with lows falling into the mid 50s. With clear skies and still fairly saturated conditions, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some fog, so keep that in mind in the morning.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, with highs right around 80°F. Mon. night: Mostly clear, with lows falling to around 55°F.

Now tomorrow? Tomorrow is gonna be niiiiiiiice.

With the region being placed under the convergent region of the mid and upper level jets, we will see a surface high move into the region, creating awesome conditions outside. Additionally, ridging will begin to move into the region by the end of the day, continuing to allow for fantastic weather conditions.

Highs will end up in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees by the afternoon, with skies staying clear. Its gonna be a nice day to hit the pool or do you favorite outdoor activity if you’re able to do so!

Overnight, ridging will continue to become established across the region, leading to mostly clear skies and lows in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, with highs rising to around 84°F. Tues. night: Clouds increasing, with chances for showers and storms late. Lows falling to around 60°F.

Tuesday day looks nice, but late Tuesday night begins the first of what will likely be several fairly active weather days this week.

I am excited to forecast that, but I know that many are just tired of the rainfall. During the day, we look to be firmly established in a ridge, which will allow temperatures to warm quite well, into the mid and possibly upper 80s.

Partly cloudy skies will accompany this, but the showers/storm chance should hold off until the evening and overnight hours, and may even hold off until Wednesday morning. Much of the guidance suggests that right now, and I will follow suit as it doesn’t make much sense overnight on Tuesday. However, I do anticipate clouds increasing, with lows hovering right around 60°F.
