Today 5/21 – Mostly cloudy; chance of scat’d showers – High 70/Tonight – Decreasing clouds – Low 50
Good Morning, Bowling Green! Yesterday was pretty much a washout across the area. Mild flooding occurred throughout the city, especially in downtown BG. Rain totals were over 2 inches in parts of Warren County according to the Kentucky Mesonet.
Today will bring a slight chance for more scattered showers as the upper level low continues to spin off to the east. Highs will struggle to make it to 70º and overcast skies will stick around for most of the day. Fortunately clouds will begin decreasing overnight and into Sunday thanks to approaching high pressure. Nice weather is on the way!
Sunday 5/22 – Mostly sunny – High 75/ Sunday Night – Clear – Low 56
We may see a few clouds lingering Sunday morning but they should start to clear out around midday. Higher pressure will begin to move into the area for the remainder of the weekend. This means plenty of sunshine and rising temperatures!
Expect highs in the mid-70s on Sunday and an overall gorgeous day. After the rain from yesterday, I am so excited for Sunday’s weather.
Monday 5/23 – Sunny – High 78/Monday Night – Clear – Low 60
The upper-level ridge and surface high pressure will be settled right over the region on Monday which will keep the warmer temperatures and sunshine around for a little longer. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
Hopefully we will see some 80º weather soon. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Have a fantastic weekend! As always, continue following @WxOrNotBG for more updates!
