Today 4/15 – Mostly sunny – High 78/Tonight – Partly cloudy – Low 47
Good Morning, Bowling Green! We’re going to have a stretch of gorgeous weather over the next few days. Thanks to upper-level ridging and broad high pressure across the eastern US, we’ll see mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s and possibly the 80s all weekend.
Today will be calm and mostly sunny with highs near 78 . Clouds could linger in some areas but will begin to clear out later today and overnight.
Saturday 4/16 – Sunny – High 78/ Saturday Night – Clear – Low 48
Saturday will be similar to today with highs in the upper 70s. An omega blocking pattern will be responsible for consistently nice weather for the remainder of the weekend. This is caused by two low pressure systems on either side of an upper-level ridge keeping it stationary.
This weather pattern, although calm for us, will be causing problems in other parts of the country. The Midwest will see a range of severe weather from snowstorms to flooding. We’ll be sandwiched in the middle of the low pressure systems so luckily this means rain-free sunny weather here in Kentucky.
Sunday 4/17 – Sunny – High 80/Sunday Night – Clear – Low 53
The omega blocking pattern will continue into Sunday and highs will be near 80 under sunny skies. I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. Temperatures will be a little warmer for Monday but will still be pretty close to perfect in my opinion.
Have a great weekend and continue to follow @WxOrNotBG for more updates!
