As surface high pressure continues to move east of the region, winds will shift to a southerly surface flow. Clouds will stick around in the morning, leading to a partly cloudy afternoon. But, hey, I’ll take any form of sunshine I can get! Temperatures will be noticeably warmer than the past few days with highs in the mid 50’s.

Winds will start to pick up tonight as the pressure and temperature gradients tighten. Temperatures for tonight won’t be too ridiculously cold with lows in the mid 40’s under mostly clear skies.

Friday – Breezy – High 65˚ / Friday Night – Chance Sprinkles – Low 53˚

Friday will be a breezy one as the pressure and temperature gradients continue to tighten up. Just as a quick summary, winds blow from high to low pressure in order to get the atmosphere closer to an equilibrium state. As these pressure and temperature gradients tighten, there is a greater change in pressure and temperature values over a certain distance. Greater changes in pressure and temperature values cause stronger winds. Thus, a very windy day!

Based on this increased southerly surface flow, temperatures will rise even higher today with highs in the mid 60’s. Yay!

There is a chance we could see some rain Friday night as a front passes through the area, but it would be scattered and brief. Again, temperatures will be pleasant with overnight lows in the low 50’s.

Saturday – Slight Chance Rain – High 65˚ / Saturday Night – Chance Rain – Low 52˚

The frontal passage Friday night looks to bring a little rain with it on Saturday. Luckily, the rain chances look slight and scattered. Again, temperatures will be warmer with highs in the mid 60’s. The rain chances increase Saturday night; however, temperatures will remain temperate with lows in the low 50’s.

It looks like we are in store for a semi-rainy weekend, so make sure to check back for more information!
