Cooler Weather To Continue

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high around 40ºF. Tonight: Clear. Low of 25ºF.

Well, I really hope you enjoyed those 70s a couple weeks ago, because as we have seen the past few days, those temperatures are long gone.

Oh well. At least we got them while we had them! Today will basically be a repeat of yesterday across the region: really, really boring. Cold. Not fun. We’ll be under the influence of a high pressure system moving quickly across the region. This will leave temps cold, and skies clear.

Highs will only reach the upper 30s, to maybe 40ºF. It will be cloud-free, and rain-free. Its gonna be a nice day out there…if you’re okay with the cold.

Overnight, look for the skies to remain clear, and lows to fall into the mid 20s.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44ºF. Wed. night: Partly cloudy, with lows falling to 29ºF.

Hey, hey, hey it is Wednesday!

You’re half way through the week, and one day closer to the weekend. Congrats! You’ve almost made it. Anyways, another day, another boring forecast. Not sure I would have said this 10 months ago, but I really wish that we could get a really tough winter weather forecast in here, just to forecast. But today looks boring. Overall, we are looking at the high pressure system moving eastward, and shifting our winds to the south and southwest across the region.

This will help bump temps into the mid 40s, and this will feel nice compared to the 30s of the past few days. The air mass will still be fairly dry across the region, and this will keep skies mostly clear across the region.

Overnight, it’ll be more of the same. Temps will fall into the upper 20s and lower 3os, with some clouds looking to move into the area towards early morning hours of Thursday.

Thursday: Increasing clouds. High of 48ºF. Thur. night: Cloudy, with showers moving into the region. Lows around 42ºF.

Well, this si substantially more interesting than the past few forecasts! That is exciting!

Overall, we are looking at a shortwave that will move into the region ahead of a fairly strong jet max that will move in from the south. The combination of the two will place us in a favorable region for increasing temps, moisture and clouds across the region.

This will force a surface low, which will gradually increase clouds here by evening time. Because we’ll be in the warm sector, look for temps to rise into the upper 40s, with 50 not entirely out of the question.

Overnight, we see the rainfall and clouds move into the region through the night. Lows will fall into the lower 40s.
