Wednesday Bowling Green Weather

Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:

Wednesday, 1/6 – Mostly Sunny – High 46˚ / Tonight – Mostly Cloudy – Low 30˚

Good morning Bowling Green! It sure has been a chilly start to the week as kids head back to school after a nice winter break. While the mornings have remained crisp, Bowling Green is seeing a gradual warming of temperatures, and will continue to do so through the end of the workweek.

As a wedge of high pressure situates itself over the mid-Atlantic, southerly flow will help get our temperatures back up to “normal” today – this being mid-40s. Mostly sunny skies can be expected for most of the day before clouds increase overnight.

Lows tonight will drop to around the 30° mark; temperatures won’t be quite as cold as the previous nights thanks to some added cloud cover and southerly flow.

Thursday, 1/7 – Mostly Cloudy- High 51˚ / Thursday Night – Rain Likely – Low 43˚

Clouds will continue to build ahead of the next system on Thursday. Bowling Green should remain dry during the day, with temperatures rising into the 50s; this additional increase in our high temperature is due to an increase in southerly flow.

The models show temperatures dropping into the low-40s for a short time overnight before rising once again with the warm front early Friday.

The current outlook holds Bowling Green’s rain chances off until around midnight on Thursday.

Friday, 1/8 – Rain Likely – High 57˚ / Friday Night – Mostly Cloudy & Mild – Low 47˚

Rain chances will continue during the early part of Friday, as the main line makes its way northeastward across the state. Therefore, our best chance for rain will be overnight Thursday and into early Friday morning. Scattered rain chances will continue during the day Friday, but will die down substantially after the morning hours.

Mostly cloudy skies will make for a gloomy, but mild, Friday. Temperatures will continue to increase into the mid to upper-50s for the end of the workweek! It’s just been one big roller coaster of temperatures here in Bowling Green lately – let me tell you.
