New Year To Ring In With Cold

Real-time BG radar:

Today: Cloudy, with a chance of showers. Highs around 49ºF. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with clearing late. Lows around 36ºF.

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas last week! This week is looking much less active weather wise than last week was!

I am pretty excited about that, actually. Last week had some difficult forecasts involved with it, and it was incredibly rainy. Luckily, it is over. A disturbance will be moving out way throughout the day today, and that will keep things cloudy at the very least. I do expect some showers across the region, but nothing too crazy.

Highs will end up in the mid to upper 40s across the region under cloudy skies. Overnight, clouds will gradually clear out, with lows falling into the mid 30s.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy, with highs around 39ºF. New Year’s eve night: Mostly clear, and cold. Lows around 27ºF.

Well, today looks like it’ll be the sunniest day in quite sometime. I feel like it has been consistently cloudy for a while, so it’ll be nice to have some sunshine.

Overall, we will see a cold high pressure system moving into the region throughout the day, and this will bring with it much colder temps and drier air. Expect highs to hit the upper 30s under partly cloudy skies.

As you’re ringing in your New Year, make sure to have a coat if you are going to be outside, because it is going to be cold. Lows will end up in the upper 20s under most clear skies.

New Years Day: Mostly sunny, with a high of 35ºF. Friday night: Clear. Low of 24ºF.

HAPPY 2016!!!

Much like the day preceding it, this day will be overtly boring. Ringing in the New Year will feature substantial weather boredom, as a high pressure system will be ruling the regions weather.

Highs will only make it to the mid 30s, making this the coldest day we have seen in a loooooong time. Overnight, temps will fall into the mid 20s.
