NOAA Photo Contest

Weather photography has become very popular as technology evolves. Now that nearly everyone has at least a phone camera capable of snapping a picture when weather strikes, weather phenomena are documented with more frequency. If you are someone who enjoys photographing the weather, the 2015 NOAA photo contest may be right up your alley.

The NOAA “Weather in Focus” photo contest features four categories: Science in Action, Weather, Water, & Climate, In the iMoment, and Professional Submission. The contest is open to anyone and photographers can submit up to five photos. The deadline for photo submissions will be March 31.

Up to five winning images per category will be selected by a panel of judges at the end of the contest. Winning photos will be displayed on the NOAA Preserve America Initiative website and at an exhibit at one of NOAA’s locations. If you’ve got some great weather photos, I encourage you to submit them to the NOAA photo contest.
