6am 33º – 9am 34º – 12pm 36º – 3pm 37º – 6pm 38º

Light rain showers are on the way early this morning, as temperatures hover just above freezing.  Don’t be surprised if you see a few bits of sleet mix in with the rain.  Fortunately for us, temperatures hanging above the freezing mark should prohibit any traveling concerns.

The HRRR simulated reflectivity shows light showers pushing into the region around day break. These showers will persist on and off throughout the day. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 30’s by the afternoon, keeping the precipitation primarily rain.

Saturday – Rainy & Breezy – High 60º(!?!?!) / Sat Night – Rain – Low 50º

Temperatures will continue to warm tonight into Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, we’ll reach a high near 60 degrees…yes, you read that correctly!

Southerly winds of 10-20mph will continue to pump warm, moist air into our area, thanks to a warm front lifting north of the region.  This will unfortunately keep widespread rain showers in the forecast through the entirety of our Saturday.  Try to enjoy the unseasonably warm temperatures, even though it’s going to be damp.  Temps drop like a rock come Sunday…

Sunday – Showers– High 42º / Sun Night – Mixed Precip – Low 26º

Rain and falling temperatures.  Those words will own the weather headlines throughout the daylight hours of our Sunday.  Total precipitation amounts from this weekend’s system could top out between 1 to 2 inches for much of the area.

Showers will linger throughout the day and into the evening, with crashing temperatures accompanying the passing of a stout cold front.  This may lead to a few snow flurries Sunday night. Be sure to bundle up if you plan on being outdoors at any time Sunday, as temperatures will fall like a rock as northwesterly winds howl at 10-20mph.

The latest QPF model below suggests the potential for 1-2+” of the wet stuff through late Sunday.
