Quiet Bowling Green Weather Expected

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 12/29 – Mostly Cloudy – High 43° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 28°

6am 35º – 9am 36º – 12pm 40º – 3pm 43º – 6pm 37º

Good morning, temperatures are currently in the middle 30s this morning as we get ready to start the work week. Fortunately, the weather looks calm for the first half of the week as strong high pressure builds to the west. There are a few showers off to our east this morning associated with a front that will push east out of the state later this morning.

Expect mostly cloudy skies this morning before skies gradually clear this afternoon. Light surface winds will be out of the northeast today limiting our afternoon highs to the lower 40s. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 20s overnight under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday 12/30 – Partly Cloudy – High 40° / Tue Night – Mostly Clear – Low 23°

A stagnant weather pattern will continue tomorrow as southern Kentucky will be seeing some southwesterly flow in the upper levels of the atmosphere. Expect another day featuring partly cloudy skies although temperatures will be just a few degrees cooler than today as northerly surface winds continue to pull in colder air. At least there will be a use for sunglasses this week.

New Years Eve – Partly Cloudy– High 34° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 20°

Strong high pressure will build across the Great Plains on Wednesday and this will keep our weather quiet on Wednesday. Any New Years Eve plans look to be in good shape as we can expect most clear skies. Temperatures will be chilly with highs reaching the lower to middle 30s and lows dropping to 20°.
