Chilly Bowling Green Weather Continues

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 12/10 – AM Flurries; Mostly Cloudy – High 40° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 29°

Surface high pressure will control the weather today. Some morning flurries will be possible as it may take a while for the moisture to clear out of the region. However, the high pressure should bring calmer and drier conditions to the region. The cloudy skies will likely linger through most of the day. Highs will only make it to around 40° out there. Combine that with a chilly north wind around 5 to 10 mph, conditions will feel a bit colder than they actually are. Below is a depiction of wind speed and direction via the NAM model.

Some of the clouds will likely depart during the overnight hours bringing us partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will drop pretty steadily into the mid 20s as the wind begins to calm under those partly cloudy skies.

Thursday 12/11 – Partly Cloudy – High 41° / Thur Night – Mostly Clear – Low 27°

The high pressure will become centered over the region on Thursday. This depletes any chance of precipitation, and brings fair conditions to the region. Partly cloudy skies seem likely with highs in the lower 40s. It will remain quite chilly, despite the sunshine.

Friday 12/12 – Partly Cloudy – High 45° / Fri Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 30°

High pressure will remain in place over the region during College Liberation Day (last day of finals). Thus, you can expect pretty fair conditions across the region. We’ll even see a slight increase in temperatures compared to the rest of the week. You can expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 40s. Finals week got me like…
