Wet and Chilly Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 11/5 – Rainy – High 56° / Tonight – Showers Possible – Low 48°

Be sure to carry around that rain jacket and umbrella today. It looks like we’ll have quite the rainy day in the forecast as rain is possible all day today. A cold front will slowly move across the region throughout the day. A weak disturbance to the south will bring quite a bit of moisture northward into this region. Thus, the rain will likely be persistent and heavy at times. It doesn’t look like we’ll see any thunderstorms from this system, so that’s some good news. Highs will be around 56°. According to the SREF model, the average precipitation total will be just over an inch, with groupings around 1.5″-2″, 1″, and 0.1″-0.5″. This is depicted below.

The rain will likely linger some in the evening hours, before eventually letting up some around midnight. Rainfall totals will likely end up around 0.5″ to 1.5″ across the region. Lows will only drop off into the upper 40s due to cloud cover.

Thursday 11/6 – Partly Cloudy – High 55° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 36°

A secondary cold front will move through the region on Thursday morning. This may provide a chance for some sprinkles during your morning commute. However, high pressure will begin to move into the region which will help dry us out some. You should expect partly cloudy skies to develop during the afternoon hours as drier air filters into the region. High temperatures will remain pretty chilly on Thursday as highs will only be in the mid 50s. Permission to dance because the rain stopped granted.

Partly cloudy skies will remain possible overnight. However, some clouds will likely move out of the region, allowing the low temperature to drop into the mid 30s.

Friday 11/7 – Mostly Clear – High 48° / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 36°

Mostly clear conditions are expected for your Friday. This is due in part to the high pressure moving closer to the region. Highs will remain chilly as our upper level flow will remain out of the northwest. Highs will only be in the upper 40s for most of the region on Friday.

Bundle up if you’re heading out to any football games on Friday night. With partly cloudy to mostly clear skies in place, the low temperature will once again only be in the mid 30s around much of the region.

That should wrap up this blog post. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter for the latest Bowling Green weather updates. Have a good day!
