Cold Night Ahead Bowling Green Weather

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny; Cool – High 63º / Tonight – Mostly Clear; Cold  Low 35º

3pm 63º – 6pm 58º – 9pm 48º – 12am 44º – 3am 39º – 6am 35º

It’s been another gorgeous Fall day across southern Kentucky as we’ve dealt with plenty of sunshine and cooler afternoon temperatures in the lower 60’s. The remainder of your afternoon and evening will be nice, but cool as thermometer readings drop into the upper 50’s.

Surface high pressure will slide in from our northwest before situating itself right across the Commonwealth early Thursday morning. In return, look for skies to remain clear as winds calm. This will set the stage for a cold overnight with anticipated lows in the mid 30’s. Some valley locations could drop into the lower 30’s with areas of patchy frost possible. The Nam model is spot on with my current thoughts.

Thu – Mostly Sunny; Nice – High 64º / Thu Night – Partly Cloudy; Chilly – Low 45º

With a cold start to the day, a jacket will definitely come in handy if you’re out and about early Thursday morning. However, temperatures look to quickly rebound by the afternoon hours as highs climb towards the mid 60’s under mostly sunny skies.

The aforementioned high pressure will maintain its grip across the region as a weaker disturbance passes to our north. It appears that most cloud cover will stay across central and northern parts of the state. For us, look for dry conditions to prevail with a few clouds building in by Thursday night. Lows will drop into the mid 40’s.

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 69º / Fri Night – Mostly Clear; Cold – Low 46º

Not a whole lot changes by the end of the week as the drying trend continues. Temperatures will begin to slowly moderate back near seasonable conditions by Friday with even warmer readings for the weekend. Comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine will make that departure from work Friday afternoon that much sweeter.

Friday night will feature calm and cool weather as overnight lows drop into the mid 40’s. Temperatures for Saturday and Sunday warm into the low-mid 70s under mostly sunny skies as a picture perfect Fall weekend lies ahead. That means only one thing….get out and take advantage of this weather!
