Earlier today, we saw convection around the storm increase and it was thought that the storm may briefly strengthen into a tropical storm before making landfall. Fortunately, the convection has died down and maximum sustained winds remain at 35mph with a minimum low pressure of 1003mb. Tropical storm warnings along the Mexican coastline have now been downgraded to tropical storm watches.
