It may be no surprise that the forecast for every day this weekend is RAIN. We saw rain overnight and we will continue to see more rain showers today along a warm front moving slowly through the region. The rain will be heavy at times, leading to minor flooding in areas throughout the weekend. Overall, it will be a gloomy day with high temperatures hovering in the low to mid 70’s. Here is the rainfall forecast from the WPC for today:
Saturday – Rain Likely – High 62º / Sat Night – Rain Likely – Low 52º
Once again rain will be likely on Saturday. Temperatures will be quite a bit cooler, only topping out in the low 60’s as a surface front will push south into the area. Areas to our north may dry out a bit Saturday night. Showers should become spotty late Saturday through Sunday. Saturdays rainfall totals will be .75 – 1.5 inches for most locations.
Sunday – Rain Likely – High 74º / Sun Night – Rain Likely – Low 61º
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again…Sunday, it’s going to rain. Once again rain will be the main focus of the day. While rainfall will not fall all in one thunderstorm, there will be periods of moderately heavy rain. Flooding may become a concern, however the rather steady rainfall rates will help keep flooding to a minimum.
Here is the latest 5 day rainfall forecast from the WPC, with a forecast of over 6 inches of rain in Bowling Green. Parts of the area are well on their way.
