Hurricane Odile to Affect Southern California

While Hurricane Edouard is strengthening in the Atlantic, Hurricane Odile is expected to affect southern California as it churns in the Pacific. As per the National Hurricane Center’s latest public advisory, Odile has reached sustained winds of 135 mph, making it a Category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Scale. Category 3, 4, and 5 hurricanes are classified as “major hurricanes“.

Hurricane Odile is expected to maintain its strength as it makes its way toward the Baja Peninsula. Odile will bring heavy rainfall, coastal flooding, and high winds to Baja California tonight and tomorrow.
