Cooler Temps for Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 9/8 – Partly Cloudy – High 83° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 63°

Happy Monday everyone! The weather is looking pretty beautiful across the region today. I don’t think we’ll see any complaints in the weather department, that’s for sure. Conditions will continue to feel more like the beginning of fall today. Drier air will work into the region throughout the day, causing for some partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies across the region. A high temperature of 83° can be expected.

Without heavy cloud cover in place during the evening hours, temperatures will fall into the lower 60s for lows across the region. Partly cloudy skies can be expected.

Tuesday 9/9 – Partly Cloudy – High 85° / Tue Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 67°

We’ll begin to see a strong low pressure system form north of the region. This will place us in the warm sector of the approaching system. We’ll begin to see those moisture and temperatures values increase across the region. However, we won’t any sort of lifting mechanism across the region. This will keep any rain chances at bay. Thus, partly cloudy skies with a high around 85° seems reasonable.

On Tuesday night cloud cover may increase a bit, as well as some winds out of the south. This will keep our temperatures from dropping off as much as they did on Monday night. Partly cloudy skies with a low of 63° is likely.

Wednesday 9/10 – Isolated Thunderstorms – High 88° / Wed Night – Scattered Strong Thunderstorms – Low 70°

On Wednesday the strong low pressure system will move into the upper Mississippi and Ohio Valley regions. This will drape a cold front south across the continental US. This will be a relatively strong cold front. Thunderstorms are expected to fire along the cold front from Texas to Michigan. I don’t expect the front to reach our area until the evening hours, so an isolated thunderstorm will be possible during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

On Wednesday night the cold front will make its way into the region. Strong thunderstorms will enter the region from the west. These storms will be capable of gusty winds, heavy rain, and vivid lightning. We will have to monitor for severe weather. A low temperature around 70° is possible.
