Bowling Green Weather

Real-time Radar:

Today 8/30 – Increasing Precip Chances– High 86° // Tonight – Scattered Showers & T’Storms– Low 72°

6am 71º – 9am 78º – 12pm 84º – 3pm 86º – 6pm 80º

Good Saturday morning everybody. I wish I had better news for the outlook over the weekend here in Bowling Green as it looks like we’ll be dodging rain chances the next couple of days ahead of this approaching trough of low pressure. We should remain fairly dry early on today but scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage throughout the day from the southwest.

Here’s the surface map for today at 1pm:

Definitely a day to keep an eye on the radar if you have any plans outside, especially later on. Highs should reach the upper 80s, contingent to when the rain starts of course.

Saturday evening and night look to be wet overall. Lows should fall into the low 70s overnight. Have the umbrella ready.

Sunday 8/31 – Rain and Thunderstorms Likely– High 82° // Sunday Night – Scattered Showers & T’Storms– Low 70°

The rain and thunderstorms chances will continue on Sunday as the trough pushes further into our region and jet stream dynamics increase in the upper levels. Southwesterly flow will continue to bring in moisture from the gulf throughout the day, expect the showers and thunderstorms to persist off and on Sunday.

Sunday evening and night should show an improvement in the precipitation coverage as suggested by guidance. Expect a low a low around 70 overnight.

Monday 9/1 – Decreasing Precip Chances– High 87° // Monday Night – Isolated Showers & T’Storms– Low 72°

Labor Day looks to bare some improvement in the weather. Guidance is suggesting that the conveyer belt of moisture should have moved out of the area, but the trough axis to our west will persist. This will set us up for more precipitation chances later.

Overall expect scattered showers or storms on Monday with the sun heating us back into the upper 80s. Take a look at the trough to our northwest as suggested by NAM:

With that trough to our northwest, expect weather to be dynamic over the coming days. Monday evening and night may be a break in the action perhaps, with lows in to the low 70s. We’ll hope for the best!

That sums it up for now, folks. Be sure to stay up to date with all your real time Bowling Green weather info @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter. Have a great Saturday!
