3pm 85º – 6pm 81º – 9pm 76º – 12am 73º – 3am 71º – 6am 71º

The unsettled weather pattern continues for our Friday as the surface low and its associated warm front lifts northward across the Commonwealth. The warm front will engulf all of southern Kentucky this afternoon as winds begin to shift from the south. Plenty of moisture will work across the region and fuel further development for the remainder of this afternoon and evening. No complaining here, at least it’s Friday!

That’s right…”High Five Friday!”

Nice.

Despite the muggy conditions, temperatures will be a tad cooler as highs reach the mid 80’s. Look for scattered showers and storms to continue this evening before activity begins to wane later on tonight. Otherwise, look for mostly cloudy skies with mild lows in the upper 60’s.

Sat – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Storms – High 86º / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Storms – Low 70º

There’s not a whole lot of change for the first part of the weekend. Bowling Green’s weather will mimic Friday in many ways. The aforementioned surface low pressure will continue its slow track Saturday as it begins to cross southern Kentucky. In return, scattered showers and storms will persist throughout the day with best activity arriving into the afternoon.

The low pressure system will finally situate itself across central and eastern Kentucky Saturday night and into Sunday. We should see our storm chances begin to decrease by this time as activity will be to our north and east. We’ll hang on to a lingering storm chance Saturday night with mild overnight temperatures in the lower 70’s.

Sun – Partly Sunny; Iso’d Storms – High 87º / Sun Night – Partly Sunny, Sct’d Storms – Low 69º

The second half of the weekend looks a tad better. The surface low will meander north and eastward through the Commonwealth as we hang onto slight chances for storm development. Partly sunny skies will be the case throughout the day outside of any isolated storms across the area. Afternoon highs will be slightly warmer thanks to the sun making an appearance after a few rainy days.

Sunday night will feature continued isolated storm chances, but look for activity to eventually die down. Mostly cloudy skies will win out through the overnight period with lows remaining mild in the upper 60’s.
