Storms Return to Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Radar For Bowling Green Weather:

Today 8/6 – Isolated Thunderstorms – High 91° / Tonight – Isolated Thunderstorms – Low 67°

Today we’ll see those thunderstorm chances return to the area once again. Any storms should hold off until the late afternoon and early evening as a  cold front approaches from the northern portion of the region. This will act to enhance lift in the region, causing some thunderstorms to form. Severe thunderstorms are not expected. A high around 91° seems likely. The HRRR Model brings a dying thunderstorm complex into the region. However, we’ll have to see how accurate that is.

Overnight our thunderstorm chances will continue as we continue to interact with the cold front. Other than that, you can expect a low around 67°.

Thursday 8/7 – Scattered Thunderstorms – High 89° / Thur Night – Isolated Thunderstorms – Low 68°

The cold front will do very little to our temperatures on Thursday. We can still expect highs right at or just below 90°. Surface low pressure will attach itself to cold front mentioned earlier. This will move into the region from the west, causing a warm front to lift north. Thus, we’ll likely see more thunderstorms develop on Thursday. Again, no severe weather is expected.

Thursday night we’ll see isolated thunderstorms across the region. Once again, that cold front does little to our temperature forecast as we’ll stay pretty warm overnight.

Friday 8/8 – Scattered Thunderstorms – High 88° / Fri Night – Scattered Thunderstorms – Low 71°

On Friday a piece of energy associated with the weak surface low pressure system will strengthen over the region. This will provide the region with more in the way of lift. Thus, our thunderstorm chances will continue to get larger on Friday. Highs will be in the upper 80s across the region. I know, the forecast kind of sucks, but at least it will be Friday! Don’t do anything stupid to celebrate.

On Friday night thunderstorm chances will continue to rumble across the region. Lows will be in the lower 70s across the region. Rainfall amounts for the three days should range between 0.5″ to 1.5″. This will certainly help bust some of the drought across the Bowling Green area.

That should wrap up this post. Thanks for stopping by the blog. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter for the latest Bowling Green weather details.
