Saturday Morning Update

Real-time radar:

___________________________________________________________________________________

Today 5/24 – Mostly Sunny – High 80° / Tonight – Mostly Clear; Cool – Low 55°

6am 57˚ – 9am 69˚ – 12pm 77˚ – 3pm 80˚ – 6pm 78˚ – 9pm 68˚

Good morning! Once again I’ve been blessed with sharing good news for those reading. Our Saturday looks splendid across the board. High pressure will remain to our north and be centered over the Great Lakes region, resulting anticyclonic flow will continue to usher in winds from the northeast, which will continue to promote seasonal temperatures and dewpoints in the low 50’s. Winds will vary from 5-10mph throughout the morning and afternoon and skies will remain mostly clear, allowing for abundant sunshine and overall fair weather.

Absolutely gorgeous. The slow moving frontal boundary that moved through the area recently will remain to our south and should keep us out of sight for precipitation chances. Tonight looks as good as the daylight hours. Mostly clear skies, calm winds and dewpoints in the 50’s will result in a peaceful evening.

I can’t possibly explain it any more simply than that. Awesome weather all across the region all throughout the day today. Any and all outdoor activities are highly recommended; even if it’s just sitting outside and relaxing, soaking up some free Vitamin D.

Sunday 5/25 – Partly Cloudy – High 83° / Sunday Night – Mostly Clear; Calm – Low 61°

Model guidance suggests that the ridge in place over the Ohio Valley will persist over the next few days but will slowly push eastward. High pressure over the Great Lakes will resultantly push east over time and clockwise wind flow will allow for winds to start to shift from the northeast to the southeast over time on Sunday. Overall conditions will resemble Saturday quite well. Temperatures will be a bit more warm, Saturday will top out near 80 as mentioned earlier but Sunday should dig a bit deeper into the low 80’s across the region. Skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy throughout the day, but dewpoints will slowly begin to increase from the low 50’s to around 60°F with north winds start to break down. However, winds will remain mostly calm throughout the day.

Overnight Sunday looks good as well, temperatures will cool off into the low 60’s and bottom out close to around 61°F. Winds overnight will begin to shift more from the south as high pressure continues to exit off to our east which will help to promote a continued warming trend into Monday. A stray shower will remain a slight possibility throughout the region on Sunday due to the return of moisture and relatively warm temperatures, keep an eye on the sky if you’re outside during this time, but don’t expect to really see anything.
