High pressure will move off the east coast today, allowing a cold front to drag in from the northwest:

Winds this afternoon will be kicking at 15-35mph.  Ideal for kite flying… not parasailing:

Although annoying, these winds will pull a “WWE tag team-esque” partnership with the sun, sending afternoon temps into the mid 70s.  If you have a problem with that… check your pulse.  It’ll be a great day for a FREE Cheetah Carwash.

Clouds will increase tonight, as the front continues to roll in from the northwest.

Fri – Scat’d Showers & Storms – High 72˚ / Fri Night – Iso’d Rain Showers – Low 52˚

The cold front will park itself just northwest of the region on Friday.  This means hit & miss showers & storms all day.  We may even get in on the action before the sun rises.

The GFS model below says “Yeah, scattered rain showers Friday evening.”

Total rainfall amounts look to stay light, topping out around .25-.50″ at best.  The QPF outlook supports this.  It’s valid through Friday evening:

Partly sunny skies, that’ll be the story for the weekend.  We may see a sprinkle or two, but nothing that should ruin your outdoor plans.
