If this forecast doesn’t make you smile…

Today 3/30  – Sunshine – High 60˚ / Tonight – Clear, Patchy Fog Possible – Low 33˚

9am 42˚ ~ 12pm 52˚ ~ 3pm 59˚ ~ 6pm 56˚ ~ 9pm 46˚

Put yesterday’s rain, clouds, and cool temperatures behind you… much better weather ahead. High pressure has a firm hold on Kentucky today which means we should see wall-to-wall sunshine. The sun will allow temperatures to climb back into the upper 50s to near 60 by the afternoon.

Weather Prediction Center’s forecast surface analysis for this afternoon/evening indicates high pressure centered over Kentucky.

Tonight remains clear but with the light to calm winds, clear skies, and a relatively moist surface airmass, some patchy fog may develop and linger into any early Monday morning commutes. Otherwise, chilly with a low in the low to mid 30s.

Mon – Mostly Sunny – High 73˚ / Mon Night – Mostly Cloudy, Iso’d Showers/Storms – Low 53˚

By Monday that high pressure system will slide just to our east. As a result we’ll see warm southerly winds in the area. Combo that with mostly sunny skies and you get temperatures in the low 70s. In fact, it looks like the 70s will become a trend this week… however I don’t mean big hair, parachute pants, or riding on colorful buses.

70s will be trending this week!

Overnight, a cold front will approach from the west. Ahead of this front will come an ever so slight chance of showers or a thunderstorm. Models disagree on our chances of getting wet, but the possibility is worth mentioning.

Tues – Mostly Sunny – High 71˚ / Tues Night – Mostly Clear – Low 47˚

That front will likely stall out near or over the area on Tuesday before it lifts back northward again on Wednesday as a warm front. Since the front will not push all the way through, temperatures shouldn’t take too much of a hit. It may be a smidge cooler Tuesday than Monday… ah, it’s still the 70s so who cares? Meanwhile mostly sunny skies continue.

That’ll do it for today. Get out and enjoy the excellent weather expected not only today but especially into the week. Follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on twitter to always find out the latest up-to-date info. Thanks for reading everyone, have a great week.
