Old Man Winter Returns

Good morning!

Today 12/23 – Gradual Clearing – Afternoon High 38˚ / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 18˚

6am 33˚ ~ 9am 35˚ ~ 12pm 36˚ ~ 3pm 37˚ ~ 6pm 31˚ ~ 9pm 28˚

Not much to talk about, gang.  High pressure is starting to build in from our west, which will filter a frigid airmass into Bowling Green and the rest of south central Kentucky.  Northwesterly winds will top out at 5-10mph today.  For the overnight…partly cloudy, cold & quiet.

Xmas Eve – Sunny – Afternoon High 26˚ / Tues Night – Clear – Low 18˚

Much colder air will reside across the region, but other than that, there’s nothing to discuss.  High pressure will take over, keeping sunny, bitter conditions around.  The loop provided displays what we’ll be working with on Tuesday.  Timing of the images is 6am Tuesday – 12am Wednesday in 6 hour increments.  High pressure will slide southeast across the area:

Xmas – Sunny – Afternoon High 40˚ / Xmas Night – Clear – Low 25˚

Quiet pattern will continue, with winds shifting back out of the south.  THis will result in our temp values rebounding into the lower 40s.  Outside of that…rinse & repeat forecast.

There is nothing significant expected through the end of this week.  Partly to mostly sunny skies will continue to accompany south central Kentucky.

That’s all I’ve got, folks.  If you need to get in touch for questions, feel free to hit me up @Wx_Or_Not.  Have a great start to the work week.
