Sunday Update

Cool conditions and overcast skies have been with us this morning, friends, however, we should see drastically improving conditions as the day progresses.  Satellite imagery indicates the last of the cloud deck advancing southeast across the region, which we may see the end of by this afternoon.  Temperatures values will rebound to around 60 degrees around 2-4pm:

As for the start of the work week, Monday looks to be very nice and tolerable.  Partly sunny skies are slated to keep control of the skies, as temps rebound into the mid – upper 60s, as southerly flow evolves across south central Kentucky.

As we get into the remainder of the work week (Tuesday – Friday), we look to be in the midst of an active pattern.  Rain and thunderstorm chances will increase as a cold front approaches from our west, placing us in the warm sector Tuesday – Thursday.  This will result in temperatures jumping to around 70 degrees.

On Thursday night (Halloween, go figure) the cold front looks to advance across our proximity, creating the likelihood of widespread showers and storms.  With the parameters I’m seeing at the moment, few of the storms could become strong, possibly severe.  It is hard to tell this far out, so I’ll await a few more model runs before I jump into the details.  The thickness model below is valid for 7pm Thursday evening:

That will be all for the Sunday update, friends.  I’ll be back tomorrow morning with a fresh update on our weather conditions.  Have a great end to the weekend, and thanks for reading!
