Friday Afternoon Update

Hands up for HIGH FIVE FRIDAY!!
Hands up for HIGH FIVE FRIDAY!!

This Afternoon – Sunny – High 68 / Tonight – Increasing Clouds – Low 44

4pm 68 ~ 7pm 57 ~ 10pm 52 ~ 1am 47

Conditions should remain nice and calm for the reminder of today, folks.  A cold front continues to approach from our west, which will create an increase in our cloud coverage this evening and overnight.  A view of the current conditions is provided below:

Temperatures will fall fast as the sun sets this evening, so all of you high school football fans take note. Long sleeves and jeans are recommended.  A light jacket or coat wouldn’t hurt, either.

Sat – Partly Cloudy, Scat’d Showers – High 62 / Sat Night – Clear – Low 39

7am 46 ~ 10am 53 ~ 1pm 58 ~ 4pm 62

Latest model guidance continues to suggests a better probability at us seeing rainfall tomorrow, as a weak cold front works across the region. I still don’t expect this to be a washout, however, scattered showers are a very real possibility.  The NAM simulated radar for 10am tomorrow morning:

This front will pull in another shot of cool air behind it, limiting highs for the weekend to the lower 60s.  Soccer games, reunions, and all other outdoor activities could be impacted, especially throughout the morning hours of tomorrow.  I would recommend having an alternate indoor location, just in case.  The showers are expected to remain scattered, however, gradually clearing should accompany us through the afternoon.

Sun – Mostly Sunny – High 63 / Sun Night – Clear – Low 42

High pressure will build in behind the cold front, filtering in a reinforcing jolt of cooler air from our northwest. This will result in highs in the lower 60s, with the feel to the air a few degrees cooler, thanks to the northerly breeze.

That’s all I’ve got for the work week, friends. I shall return tomorrow with a fresh at the latest data.
