Well folks, we finally got the rain out of here just in time for the weekend. It was definitely a soaker the last few days with decent rainfall totals across the area. Thankfully, dry conditions for Halloween weekend are instore.
Dry Today
We start off by looking at satellite across the region. There is still some stubborn cloud cover across the area that will slowly decrease through out the day. Clear skies taunting us just to the west.
We are expecting dry conditions to persist today while temperatures work their way into the mid-50s. The more sunshine we receive will mean a better chance of approaching 60 this afternoon. Brisk northerly winds are the culprit for the cooler conditions as we are on the back side of the departing storm system.
Temperatures tonight are going to drop into the mid-30s. While WABBLES is not under the frost advisory for tonight, we can’t rule out some patchy frost in rural areas. Greatest chances will be further north.
Halloween Forecast
The day that all the kids have been waiting for is tomorrow. Halloween is going to be a great day to be outside as temperatures warm into the low 60s. Mostly sunny skies will dominate with only a few passing clouds.
Heading into Saturday evening, we will see temperatures slowly fall through the 50s after sunset. Temperatures bottom out Saturday night right around 49 degrees under mostly clear skies.
Cool Temperatures Sunday
Sunday will be another relatively nice day with highs in the mid-50s. Mostly sunny skies again look to dominate across the region. It will be another great day to rake those leaves and do any other fall yard work!
The cold front moving through Sunday morning will have no precipitation along it. It will bring a change in wind direction hence the reason for cooler temperatures Sunday afternoon.
Widespread Freeze Monday
Monday morning looks to be the first widespread freeze across the region. Temperatures look to drop into the lower 30s and upper 20s. That means this will end the growing season so bring those potted plants inside if you can!
