Dry Weekend Leads to a Hot Week

Good Saturday morning, Kentucky! It’s finally the weekend and time to relax a little bit. Buckle up as a dry weekend leads to a hot week because starting Monday temperatures will be downright toasty. I’ve got all the details below!

Warm and Sunny Saturday

If you have any outdoor activities planned for today, you’re in luck because today’s conditions are going to be pretty nice! With lower dew points and temperatures expected to reach into the low-80s, today won’t be that shabby. Rain is not on the table, so get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Things are pretty quiet over south-central Kentucky right now. (NOAA)

Slightly Warmer on Sunday

Tomorrow will be a slightly amplified version of today’s conditions with dew points a few degrees higher and temperatures reaching into the upper-80s. It looks like another great day to enjoy the outdoors since rain will still not be a concern.

Start of the Work Week = Hot

Just when you thought we were headed straight for Fall conditions, Mother Nature wanted to throw a few more scorchers our way. Dew points in the upper-60s and temperatures in the 90s will result in heat index values near 100ºF for most of next week.

Follow these tips to keep you and your family safe during the hot days next week. (NWS).

Remember to practice heat safety because these conditions may be unbearable for some people. Drink plenty of water and stay in the air conditioning when possible.

That concludes today’s post! I hope everyone has a great weekend and remember to follow @wxornotBG to stay updated on the hot temperatures forecast for next week.
