Hot Temperature Break Has Arrived

Good morning, Kentucky! A much needed hot temperature break has arrived. The excruciating heat index values we’ve had over the past several days are now gone thanks to lower temperatures and dew points. I’ve got all the details below!

Refreshing Conditions Today

The cold front that came through our area yesterday has left us with glorious conditions. Winds out of the northeast are sending cooler air this way and will limit today’s maximum temperature to the low-80s.

The air behind that front is drier as well, so we’ll have a nice break from the mugginess today. No rain is in the forecast, so today should be pretty incredible!

Repeat On Wednesday

Tomorrow will be very similar to today. Temperatures will only reach into the low-80s with dry air tagging along with it. No rain is in the forecast once again, but enjoy these conditions because seasonal temperatures will slowly creep back into the area.

Slightly Warmer Thursday

As we progress throughout the week we will slowly make our climb back up to seasonal temperatures and dew points. Thursday will reach highs in the mid-80s but the humidity shouldn’t be unbearable. Rain will stay out of the forecast once again.

End of the Week/Weekend Outlook

Our conditions will gradually return to their seasonal habits as we end the week and head into the weekend. Temperatures will be a little warmer each day but the dew points will thankfully hang back in the mid-60s. This weekend should be warm but not as muggy as last week. Rain should not be an issue!

That concludes today’s post! The next few days will bring some of the best conditions that we have seen in a while. Have a great week and enjoy this beautiful weather. Make sure to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter!
