Quiet Weather Continues Into Weekend

Good morning, friends, and happy Wednesday to you all! We had such a beautiful day yesterday, and lucky for us, quiet weather continues into the weekend. Get out and enjoy it while you can!

High Pressure Sticking Around

The center of the high pressure system is located off to our northwest, which is the reason we have had north winds and comfortable temperatures.

Because of these northerly winds, we will continue to enjoy comfortable temperatures and drier air (lower humidity, yes please!). Highs will top out this afternoon around 82ºF, under sunny skies and calmer winds. We will see some white cumulus clouds pop up during the day due to daytime heating.

By sunset, those cumulus clouds should dissipate due to the lack of surface heating, leading to a beautiful clear night. It’ll be a perfect fall-like night for stargazing, a campfire, or even just sitting on the back patio. Temperatures will drop to around 59º in the overnight hours.

Sunny Thursday

Not much change to the forecast for tomorrow as the center of high pressure continues eastward. The center will be located to our north,  so winds will remain calm but will be out of the east tomorrow.

Aside from the wind shift, temperatures will once again reach the neighborhood of 84ºF, under sunny skies. Overnight, clear skies with a low around 60º will make for another beautiful night.

Temperatures Slowly Creep Higher

Forecast into the weekend remains very similar, except with some warmer temperatures.

Friday: Sunny skies and south winds will help drive temperatures up to around 88º. The center of high pressure will then be to our east, and so with clockwise flow, will bring southerly winds to our area.

Once again, the overnight forecast includes clear skies, calm winds, and temperatures around 65ºF.

Saturday and Sunday: A bit warmer for our Saturday and Sunday as continued southerly winds bring in warm and moist air from the south. Afternoon temperatures for both days will be around 89º. Skies will still be sunny, with cumulus clouds hanging around. Overnight, clear skies with temperatures around 65º for Saturday and Sunday night.

That wraps up today’s forecast. Hope you have a great Wednesday and rest of the week! Make sure to look for the Afternoon Video Update on Facebook and the Afternoon Weather Story on Twitter, only at @wxornotBG.
