Good morning and happy Sunday! Hope you all had a great Saturday. A beautiful weekend comes to an end and a hot week begins.
Currently…
The temperatures are already in the mid- to high-60s and slight winds are at 6 mph out of the southwest. The roads may be a tad wet due to some light rain from earlier this morning.
Warm Sunday Ahead
Temperatures will increase into the low-80s and some clouds will be in the sky. Winds will start to increase by midday and shift from the north. The winds will die down as the temperature decreases into high-50s for the low tonight.
Sunny Start to the Week
Temperatures will be in the high-70s into the low-80s for the next couple of days. The high pressure system will be moving in, clearing the skies for ample sunshine. The lowest temperatures will range anywhere from the mid-50s to the mid-60s.
Stormy for the Rest of the Week
Multiple shortwaves will be moving over the area. A shortwave will create lift in the atmosphere and high windspeed across the area of lift.
The rain will be the result from these shortwaves. The timing of these events will most like change and not much rain is expected. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s for the rest of the week and decrease into the high-60s.
Hot Week Ahead
Overall, we have a hot week ahead for the south-central Kentucky region. Enjoy today and the beginning of the week as the sun will be shining.
Showers and storms will move into the area on Wednesday and linger until the weekend.
That is all I have for you all today. Make sure to have a great finish to your weekend and check back tomorrow for an update on this week’s forecast. Also follow @wxornotBG for live updates on changing weather conditions.
