Good morning, @wxornotBG followers! I hope everyone enjoyed the 4th of July and was able to stay cool despite those scorching temperatures. I am kicking off another forecast by telling you that today and tomorrow are going to be hot and muggy (I know this is a big surprise). On the bright side, Thursday will bring lower dew points and will be absolutely beautiful. Let’s break down the details of your three-day forecast.

You can expect searing temperatures today with a high reaching around 90°. The heat index will be in the upper 90s for the majority of the afternoon and could reach the 100° mark around 3:00, so if you are working outside make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks often. The low won’t be much of a low as we will only dip down to the lower-70s. Dew points will be in the 70s. Scattered clouds will fill the sky and then will gradually clear as the day goes on. Today’s thunderstorm possibility will be the greatest this morning through lunch time.

Wednesday

Wednesday will be very similar to today. The high will reach around 89° with dew points in the 70s. The low for the day will be in the upper-60s. You can expect a high heat index once again. The afternoon will be hot with heat index values in the mid-90s, so continue to take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water if you are working outside. There will be scattered cloud cover, which will hopefully lend a few breaks from the scorching sun every so often. The best chance for a thunderstorm will be in morning through about 1:00 in the afternoon. After that, cloud cover should decrease and the dry evening will continue into Thursday.

Thursday

Thursday will be much more enjoyable because we will see a break in these high dew points, which will help cut back on the mugginess. Our high temperature will reach around 89° and the low will be nearly 66° with dew points remaining in the 60s (thank goodness). Although we will still have heat index values in the lower-90s, that is still better than what they will be today and Wednesday. It will be hot, but we will be getting a break from the thunderstorms on Thursday with minimal cloud cover throughout the entire day.
