A Warm and Unsettled Work Week is Ahead

The Headline

After being spoiled with some below average temperatures and mostly dry conditions this past week and weekend, we will see an increase of both rain chances and temperatures as we gear up for this next work week.

As of right now, we are mostly dry across South Central Kentucky. However, some scattered showers that are working their way across northwest Tennessee will likely be impacting us later this morning and into this afternoon if they can hold it together.

Temperature wise, today looks like it will be one of the last days where we’ll see the low 80s for our highs. As cloud cover and rain continues to filter in, it will make it difficult to see temperatures rise above the mid 80s.

As for tomorrow, summer begins to make a return. Heat and humidity will be back with high temperatures in the upper 80s under partly sunny skies. Can’t rule out an isolated downpour or two as well especially in the afternoon hours.

As we head into Wednesday, things begin to look more unsettled as our rain chances pick back up. By mid week, we’ll see our high temperatures pressing the 90 degree mark for the first time in nearly two weeks!

The Decisions

As you’re headed out the door this morning, it is probably not a bad idea to pack an umbrella and rain jacket. You may need it as you head out for lunch today.

As you prepare for this week, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to ensure your umbrella works properly as rain chances pick back up especially mid to late week.
