Today – Partly Cloudy – High 85° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 68°
High pressure will remain centered to the north of the region, which will help keep conditions nice once again!
Partly cloudy skies with high temperatures around 85° will be likely this afternoon. Moisture will be on the increase though thanks to a surface ridge to the east of the region. Still, a great day is on tap for the region!
Partly cloudy skies should continue overnight with a low around 68°.
Thursday – Isolated Storms – High 85° / Thur Night – Isolated Storms – Low 68°
A shortwave trough will roll through the region early Thursday morning. This should lead to isolated storm chances as we wake up and all through the day.
During the afternoon, storms may form along and east of the I-65 corridor. No severe weather is expected at this time.
Outside of storms, conditions will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s once again. So basically, it would be a great day if it weren’t for the storms.
Isolated storms continue overnight with lows in the upper 60s likely.
Friday – Isolated Storms – High 84° / Fri Night – Scattered Storms – Low 69°
A bit of a mixed signal for rainfall enters the forecast for Friday, making things complicated.
A decaying cluster of storms to the west of the region may push boundaries into the area. Isolated afternoon storms may trigger along these boundaries, making for hit and miss storm chances. Notice the strong rain signal to the west in the image below.
The best location for severe weather at this time is to the south of the region, but that may change with later forecasts. Highs will once again top out in the mid 80s.
Scattered storms will once again be possible Friday night. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
Looking Ahead
Overall, it looks like we’re in for a wet period across the region for the next several days. Daily chances of rainfall can be expected across the region after today. Above normal precipitation with below normal temperatures are expected over the next week or two.
That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to follow @wxornotBG and @WKUweather for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
