The Headline
There will be no doubt that the headline today is that beautiful weather returns to the region over the next couple days!
We are looking much of what we have seen over the past couple of weeks in terms of below normal temps, and a lack of crazy humidity. It is actually really exciting!
That nagging boundary has finally sagged to our south. This is the same boundary that has been nagging us for the past several days. We are now under the influence of high pressure, and are seeing nice northerly flow.
That will help to dry us out the next couple days, and keep our temperatures down. With a lack of disturbances in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere, today and tomorrow look to feature mostly sunny/partly cloudy skies!
To go along with that, you can expect wonderful temps and humidity.
This whole picture changes by Thursday, however, as organized disturbances approach the region from the west, and bring and increase in cloud coverage and introduce a chance for showers.
I don’t think it is a done deal that we see rain on Thursday by any means; however, I do anticipate cloud coverage being greater than the preceding two days.
Expect an increase in dewpoints by Thursday, as well, making it feel sort of bleh again outside.
The Forecast
Today: Clouds clearing to mostly sunny skies. Highs around 83°F. Overnight, anticipate mostly clear skies and lows around 63°F.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy, with highs around 84°F. Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies, with lows around 66°F.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a chance of an isolated shower in the evening. Highs around 86°F. Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies, with lows around 67°F.
The Decisions
Well, with beautiful weather in August comes the responsibility to be outside! It is the last day for kids around here before they head back to school, so be sure to try and get outside and enjoy the weather with them.
For first day attire? The weather will be good for just about anything. I would also anticipate any baseball/softball/football games going on this week should be a-ok to go!
Thats all I have for you all! Have an awesome day, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter and Landon Hampton on Facebook for the latest weather updates!
