Sunny and Pleasant Start to the Week

If you’re just waking up this morning I have some great news: it has FINALLY stopped raining! This weekend we saw roughly two inches of rain fall across South Central Kentucky and man did it seem like it was never going to end. Thankfully, we’re looking at a pleasant start to the week with even some sunshine in the forecast.

We’re starting off the morning with cloudy skies, but we should see much more sunshine here soon. The clouds are beginning to break up and the edge of that cloud cover is making it’s way out of South Central Kentucky as we speak.

The view from our White Squirrel Weather cam shows the edge of that cloud cover with blue skies heading our way.

Temperatures today should actually be super nice! High temperatures are looking to make it into the mid to upper 60s, maybe even 70 degrees, for our region. We’ll take it.

By tomorrow and Wednesday, the forecast only improves as we head into a ridge pattern associated with high pressure. Tomorrow, temperatures will soar in to the mid to upper 70s and will really flirt with that 80 degree mark.

And for Wednesday we’ll see an even warmer day with plenty of sunshine! Temperatures will make it into the mid to upper 80s under lots of blue skies. I think this nice weather is well deserved after having such a cruddy and rainy weekend. Thanks for the help high pressure!
