Today, a cold front will push through the region along with some accompanying light rain showers. These showers will likely be isolated to scattered for most of the day (just enough to be annoying if you have any outside plans).

For those of us who see some rain, it won’t be very much rain, even though we need it pretty badly! Atmospheric instability is lacking today; however, as we heat up slightly during the day, we may hear a rumble or two of thunder. These rain showers look t0 diminish in the late evening to overnight hours. Once the rain moves out, the clouds will also move out fairly quickly.

High pressure from the west will start to build in overnight, allowing skies to clear. For Friday through the weekend, we should see sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. There could be some frost on Saturday morning, as early morning temperatures will be in the upper 30’s.
Extended Outlook
Next week looks to be very nice with temperatures hanging out in the low 70’s with partly to mostly sunny skies. The weather models are hinting at another cold front pushing through towards the end of next week, cooling us down even further.
