As you are waking up and heading out this morning, temperatures look to be in the mid 60s, with dewpoints in that range as well. Basically, when you walk outside, it will be a sauna.

Today looks like it is gonna get fairly warm. I expect some of us to end up seeing some high clouds from Tropical Storm Bonnie that is sitting over just off the coast of South Carolina, and some of the short term guidance is even suggesting that the eastern half of the state will see some showers from her influence. Something to watch for!

For those of us locally, and throughout most of the western half of KY, we’re looking at a warm one, with partly cloudy skies. I can’t rule out a shower or storm, as a weak cold front will be moving through. Highs should end up in the mid to upper 80s.

Overnight, skies should remain partly cloudy, with lows falling into the mid 60s.

Memorial Day: Mostly sunny, with some high clouds possible. Highs around 86°F. Mon. night: Mostly clear, with lows falling to 65°F.

Happy Memorial Day, folks!

Thank you an incredible amount to all of the veterans, and their families, and to those lost serving our country. Thanks you all so much for your sacrifice so that I can have the choice to study meteorology, or walk down the street. Thank you for protecting my freedom.

You Memorial Day celebrations look to include awesome weather. This weather will be controlled largely by a ridge that looks to move into our region on by Monday afternoon. This will keep skies partly cloudy, and this warm.

There are gonna be some high clouds that will be possible across the region, as Tropical Bonnie spreads mid level moisture towards us. Otherwise, it will be a mostly sunny day, with highs reaching the mid and upper 80s!

This will be great for any cookout that you all may have going on to celebrate or whatever you have going on. The weather will be nice! Overnight, some high clouds are possible, but look for mostly clear skies otherwise, with lows falling into the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, with isolated storms possible by the evening time. Highs right around 87°F. Tues. night: Partly cloudy, with a chance of showers/storms remaining. Lows around 66°F.

Tuesday looks fairly nice too!

There is a chance that a Mesoscale Convective System forms to our west, and moves in here along a weak shortwave Tuesday morning, much like we saw on Thursday.

This would throw a wrench in this forecast overall. However, I don’t see that as being likely at this time. So expect partly cloudy skies much of the day, with scattered storms possible in the afternoon/evening. Highs should read out in the upper 80s at their peak.

Overnight, expect much of the same, with storms possible and lows falling to the mid 60s.
