Good Monday morning Bowling Green! We’re waking up to temperatures around 61° this morning. A cold front is located to the east of the region this morning. This will continue to move east throughout the day. Some scattered showers may form this afternoon behind this front. With southwest flow aloft, temperatures will climb into the 70s, topping out around 72°.

Overnight, showers will diminish across the region, leaving us with partly cloudy skies and a low around 53°.

Tuesday 5/3 – Partly Cloudy – High 67° / Tues Night – Isolated Showers – Low 48°

Tuesday may bring a break in our chances of rain. Weak upper and mid level flow, as well as high pressure located to the west of the region should keep showers from forming across the region. Partly cloudy skies will develop as high temperatures top out around 67°.

A tight trough will being to move into the region from the north on Tuesday night. This will bring a chance of showers with it. Lows will be around 48°.

Wednesday 5/4 – Scattered PM Showers & T-storms – High 67° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 45°

A low pressure system and associated cold front will approach the region on Wednesday. The cold front will move through the area during the early afternoon hours. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will likely develop as the cold front passes through.

Cold temperatures aloft will contribute to some instability developing across the region. A few storms may be strong to severe with damaging wind and small hail being the main threats. If the cold front were to pass later in the afternoon, surface heating may contribute to more instability, meaning a potentially larger severe weather threat.
