Sunday – Mostly Sunny Then Showers – High 73˚ / Sunday Night – Showers – Low 44˚

Unfortunately, Easter Sunday is not going to be as nice as Saturday. A low pressure system will move through the area, bringing rain showers and storms. The first half of Sunday looks to be relatively dry with most of the rain starting in the late afternoon, but there are some showers looking to move in Sunday morning, ahead of the main line of storms.

As the center of low pressure deepens, temperatures across the region will rise into the mid 70’s which is nice.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has put our area under a Slight Risk for severe weather on Sunday; hail and damaging winds will be the main threat. The threat for severe weather could decrease, depending on the timing of the showers moving in Sunday morning. Make sure to tune into Sunday’s blog to stay updated on this system.

SPC Day 3 Outlook

Look for the showers and storms to hang around during the evening and possibly into the overnight hours, as well. Once the front passes through our area, temperatures will drop with lows in the low to mid 40’s. Temperatures will also drop for the start of a new workweek on Monday.

Monday – Showers Then Sunny – High 60˚ / Monday Night – Mostly Clear – Low 40˚

Rain chances will stick around for Monday morning, but the sun should appear by the afternoon. Cooler, drier air will fill in behind the system that passed through Sunday night, keeping the temperatures lower. Highs will be right around the sixty degree mark, and lows for the evening will be right around 40˚.
