Today 2/6 – Sunny – High 52/Tonight – Partly cloudy – Low 30
Happy Saturday! Enjoy today because much colder weather is headed our way in a few days. High pressure will continue to slowly push eastward today and tomorrow keeping skies mostly sunny and temperatures warmer.
A cold front will move in tomorrow night bringing us rain/snow chances and a sharp drop in temperatures for next week.
Sunday 2/7 – Cloudy – High 54/ Sunday Night – Chance of rain/snow – Low 35
The incoming cold front will increase clouds for Sunday, but highs will still be in the mid-50s with a southerly wind flow. Rain chances will increase Sunday afternoon and night with the possibility of a changeover to snow early Monday morning. Keep this in mind if you are driving to and from Super Bowl parties.
It is still uncertain as to when temperatures will drop low enough for rain to change to snow, as the freezing line will be north of the area for the majority of the night. Little to no snow accumulation is expected Sunday night. Monday brings cooler temperatures and more rain/snow.
Monday 2/8 – Rain (possibly snow) – High 38/Monday Night – Chance of snow – Low 25
The cold front will pass through the area early Monday morning. Precip type is still questionable because slightly colder temperatures could mean the difference between rain and snow. The most confidence lies with snow chances Monday night. By then, any lingering precipitation will have cold enough temperatures to become snow. This could possibly create a dusting on the ground by Tuesday morning.
Have a fantastic weekend and continue to follow @WxOrNotBG for more updates on this system and how it may impact BG.
