Today 1/25 – Partly Cloudy; Isolated PM Showers – High 46° / Tonight – Scattered Showers – Low 39°
An upper level shortwave trough will continue to move toward the region throughout the day today. This will bring low pressure to the north of the region, placing us in the warm sector of the low pressure system. Southerly winds will bring temperatures to around 46°, helping melt a lot of the snow.
Isolated showers may develop during the evening hours as a low level jet begins to intensify across the area.
Scattered showers will continue into the overnight as the cold front begins to make its way through the region. Lows will be around 39°.
Tuesday 1/26 – Mostly Cloudy;Isolated Sprinkles/Flurries – High 40° / Tues Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 27°
The cold front will move through the region on Tuesday morning. This will allow for temperatures to tumble throughout the day. The high temperature of 40° will likely occur during the morning hours. Temperatures around 3 PM, when we normally see the high temperature, will be around 36°. Some isolated sprinkles and flurries will be possible as the moisture exits the region to the east.
Tuesday night will bring mostly cloudy conditions to the region with a low around 27°.
Wednesday 1/27 – Partly Cloudy – High 37° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 24°
High pressure will begin to settle into the region on Wednesday. This will help clear things out, leaving us with partly cloudy skies. Highs will be rather chilly, as temperatures will only make it into the mid to upper 30s under the influence of northerly winds rotating around the high pressure.
Wednesday night will bring partly cloudy skies to the region with a low around 24°.
