Very Bland Weather Upcoming

Real time BG Radar:

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy, with an isolated shower possible early. High of 46ºF. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 26ºF.

Well, after a week of absolutely crazy weather, this week is looking really, really boring. I’m not complaining!

A shortwave trough will move through the region overnight, swinging a cold front through the region and dropping temps after midnight. We may see some showers lingering on your drive to work, but the odds aren’t very high. Because the temps will drop after midnight, our high will likely be established around midnight, with temps being in the mid 40s before they drop behind a line of showers.

As the day goes on, you’ll see skies generally become partly to mostly cloudy, with temps falling into the mid 30s by the afternoon hours. Be sure to have a coat with ya!

Overnight, skies will become clear, with lows falling into the mid 20s.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, with highs around 36ºF. Wed. night: Partly cloudy skies, with lows falling to around 27ºF.

Another day, another forecast that is peacefully boring.

Today will be very ordinary. With a weak high pressure system moving in, and much of the deeper snowpack gone, highs will be able to reach the mid 30s under mostly sunny skies.

The models (right now) are overestimating the depth and expanse of the snowpack, and therefore are underestimating temps for Wednesday. Thus, the reason I bumped my forecast up. Overnight, temps will fall into the upper 20s, as a weak cold front passes through, forcing some partly cloudy skies.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high of 45ºF. Thur. night: Mostly clear, with lows around 27ºF.

Well, with another weak cold front passing through on Wednesday night, you would think it would get cooler, right? Wrong. Temps will actually rebound today into the mid 40s. The airmass that followed the weak cold front wasn’t nearly as cold as the past few we have seen, and thus, you see warmer temps.

Skies will remain sunny and clear into the evening hours, where skies will then just become clear overnight, with lows falling into the mid and upper 20s.

That is all I have for ya! Enjoy this boring week of weather. In the meantime, be sure to check out and follow @WxOrNotBG on Twitter.
