Winter Storm Update

Real-time BG Radar:

Well, since my post this morning, the NWS in Louisville has upped the region to a Winter Storm Warning from 2 AM to 6 PM across the region.

Based on the latest model runs, I think a solid 2-5″ of snowfall, with isolated 6″ amounts, is in order for the region. The heaviest snowfall will be falling within the rush hour timespan, so expect fairly significant impacts to travel in the morning. Here is Landon’s latest forecast.

In other weather news, the overnight and morning model runs are lending more confidence that another significant winter storm will impact the state by Friday. We need more time to monitor and analyze the information at hand, so nothing is set in stone. However, it appears more and more likely. Stay tuned by following @WxOrNotBG on Twitter.
