Today: Cloudy, with showers and isolated storms. Highs will be around 55ºF. Tonight: Cloudy, with showers/snow showers. Lows plummeting to near 27ºF.
Well, winter is knocking on our door.
It is knocking very loudly, and ominously. However, guess what? Today will be warm at least. Get excited. Hype. A low pressure system will be moving into the region, and will have rain accompanying it.
Southerly winds ahead of the low will allow for temps to get up into the mid 50s ahead of the front, but you better enjoy that. Soon enough, that’ll bottom out.
The front approaching the region is rather strong, and will bring with it rapidly dropping temperatures, and windy conditions. Additionally, as another shortwave rotates southeastward, we could see a band of snowfall form late in the overnight hours. Accumulations would likely remain in our northern counties, with very light totals and little impact. Lows will fall into the upper 20s.
Tomorrow: Cloudy, with early snow showers possible. Highs around 45ºF↓. Sun. night: Clearing. Lows around 18ºF.
Tomorrow is gonna get cooooooooold. As in, really, really cold.
Winter has finally shown up, and we aren’t prepared at all. Early in the day, we could still be seeing some isolated snow showers across the region. Nothing significant is expected, but it should be pretty at least.
Highs will actually occur at midnight in the mid 40s, with a quick drop off. We will be lucky to get out of the upper 20s the rest of the day.
Overnight, skies will clear, with lows in the upper teens.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs around 35ºF. Mon. night: Partly cloudy, with lows around 28ºF.
Well, it looks as if Monday will also be cold! What a gift to us. I am excited. Temperatures will moderate a bit out ahead of another reinforcing shot of cold air that will make its way in by Tuesday night. Look for highs to reach the low to mid 30s, under mostly sunny skies.
Overnight Monday, skies will become partly cloudy, with lows falling into the upper 20s.
